If something isn't covered here, email us — we'd rather hear from you than have you stuck.
Is RAG Learning really free?+
Yes. The full set of notes, diagnostics, practice questions and progress tracking is free for UK students. No trial, no credit card, no paywall gating the core content.
Which exam boards do you support?+
AQA, Edexcel (A and B where applicable), OCR (A and B where applicable) and Eduqas. Content is written separately per board — the notes for AQA Physics aren't the same file as OCR Physics, because the specifications aren't the same.
Does it cover GCSE, AS and A Level?+
Yes. You choose your level when you sign up, and the topic list, diagnostics and question pool adjust accordingly. You can switch level later from your settings without losing progress on shared topics.
How is my RAG rating calculated?+
Each topic starts with a 10-question diagnostic covering three difficulty bands. Your score, the difficulty of the questions you got right, and how recently you last practiced the topic all feed into the rating. There's no self-reporting — the algorithm places it for you.
Can I change subjects later?+
Absolutely — add, remove or swap subjects any time from Settings. Your progress on each subject is preserved if you add it back later.
Why does a green topic sometimes drop back to amber?+
Because that reflects reality. If you haven't revisited a topic in a couple of weeks, your recall has almost certainly decayed. The app nudges you back to it before exams, so nothing silently slips off your radar.
Does it work on phones and tablets?+
Yes. Everything — notes, diagnostics, practice, dashboard — is responsive and works well on mobile. Most students use it on a laptop for study sessions and a phone for quick reviews on the bus.
How do I cancel Pro?+
Head to Settings → Billing and hit Cancel — no questions asked, no retention call. You'll keep Pro access until the end of the period you've already paid for.
Do I need an account?+
Yes — an account is the only way to track your RAG ratings, streaks, medals and progress over time. Sign-up takes about 20 seconds.
